Nitin Gadkari inaugurates EV charging station at NITI Aayog

On 15th Feb 2018, Union Road Transport and Highways Minister Nitin Gadkari inaugurated Electric Vehicle (EV) charging stations on the premises of NITI Aayog.

NITI Aayog has installed two Electric Vehicle charging stations including fast and slow charging in its premises.

The installation by ABB in electric vehicle charging supports recent proposals by the Ministry of Highways and Transportation and NITI Aayog, which include a pilot project in electric vehicle (EV) charging infrastructure in New Delhi.

After the inauguration Mr Gadkari told reporters that climate change was becoming a global crisis and by reducing emissions from petrol and diesel vehicles, the condition of the environment could be improved.
